Bradford town 1 warminster town 0
With several weeks without football with Covid19 restrictions, it was good to get some much-needed game time at Bradford on Avon in readiness for league resumption on December 19th. It was likely to be an interesting game between Western League Premier side and First Division Warminster Town.
Following an overnight downpour, the pitch was quite slippery, and on many occasions, we saw players slipping and sliding. The only goal of the game came on 32 minutes from a Bradford corner which firmly headed home proved to be enough for the win. Overall it was a fairly even game although Bradford created a few more chances to score.
Early in the second half, Warminster cleared a shot off the line to keep the score down. Warminster missed a chance in the dying few seconds of the game when a free-kick beautifully floated in was headed over the bar as 2 Warminster players vied for the ball. With that came the final whistle. Overall, manager Andy Crabtree could take positives from the game, particularly as this was the first action since October 31st.
